Few things beat the comfort of a freshly baked cookie, especially when the recipe is simple enough to remember without pulling out a cookbook. These ten cookie recipes are straightforward, dependable, and delicious—with minimal ingredients and easy steps that make them perfect for busy bakers or spontaneous cravings. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced home baker, these cookies are easy to whip up anytime.

1. Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies (1:1:1 Ratio)
Remember this: 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar (½ white, ½ brown), 1 cup chocolate chips. Cream butter and sugars, mix in 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla, then add 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Fold in the chocolate chips and bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes.

2. 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
You only need 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, and 1 egg. Mix everything together, roll into balls, press with a fork, and bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. No flour, no fuss.

3. Oatmeal Banana Cookies
Mash 2 ripe bananas and mix with 1 cup quick oats. Add optional extras like chocolate chips or cinnamon. Scoop onto a tray and bake at 180°C for 12–15 minutes. Perfect for breakfast or a healthy snack.

4. Shortbread Cookies (3-2-1 Method)
Think 3 parts flour, 2 parts butter, 1 part sugar. For example: 300 g flour, 200 g butter, 100 g sugar. Cream butter and sugar, add flour, mix until it comes together, shape, and bake at 160°C for 20–25 minutes until lightly golden.

5. Snickerdoodles
Memorize this base: 1 cup butter, 1½ cups sugar, 2 eggs, 2¾ cups flour, 2 tsp cream of tartar, 1 tsp baking soda. Roll in a cinnamon-sugar mix (1 part cinnamon to 4 parts sugar) before baking at 180°C for 10–12 minutes.

6. No-Bake Chocolate Oat Cookies
In a saucepan, bring 1 cup sugar, ¼ cup milk, ¼ cup butter, and 2 tbsp cocoa to a boil. Simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in 1½ cups oats and ½ cup peanut butter. Drop onto parchment and let set.

7. Almond Cookies
Mix 2 cups almond flour, ½ cup sugar, and 1 egg white. Roll into balls, flatten slightly, and top with a sliced almond. Bake at 160°C for 15 minutes. Naturally gluten-free and full of nutty flavor.

8. Coconut Macaroons
Combine 2 cups shredded coconut, ⅔ cup condensed milk, and 1 tsp vanilla. Scoop into mounds and bake at 170°C for 15–20 minutes. For extra indulgence, dip bottoms in melted chocolate once cooled.

9. Sugar Cookies
Easy to remember: 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2½ cups flour, 1 tsp vanilla, ½ tsp baking powder. Cream, mix, roll, cut, and bake at 180°C for 8–10 minutes. Decorate or eat plain—they’re perfect either way.

10. Flourless Chocolate Cookies
Whisk together 2 cups icing sugar, ½ cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp espresso powder (optional), and 2 egg whites. Stir until thick and glossy. Spoon onto parchment and bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. Crinkly tops and fudgy centers guaranteed.

Memorizing a few go-to cookie recipes makes spontaneous baking easy and fun. These ten options use everyday ingredients and simple ratios to deliver warm, satisfying treats anytime. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can tweak flavors, swap add-ins, or double the batch when needed. With cookies this easy, your next sweet fix is only minutes away.
