Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • For the sausages and mash:
    • 8 pork sausages
    • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and chopped
    • 100 ml whole milk
    • 50 g unsalted butter
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the onion gravy:
    • 2 large onions, sliced
    • 30 g unsalted butter
    • 500 ml beef stock
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until soft. Drain, mash with butter and milk, and season.
  2. Fry sausages in a pan over medium heat for 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. In a separate pan, melt butter, add onions, and cook for 10 minutes until caramelized. Stir in flour, add stock and Worcestershire sauce, and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • 6 sausages
