Classic Pork and Cabbage Dumplings:

Ingredients:

– 1 pound ground pork

– 2 cups finely shredded cabbage

– 3 green onions, finely chopped

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon sesame oil

– 1 teaspoon sugar

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– Dumpling wrappers

– Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, shredded cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

2. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture onto the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and seal the dumplings into desired shapes.

3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings in a single layer and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Add water to the skillet, cover, and steam the dumplings for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until cooked through.

5. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Vegetarian Spinach and Mushroom Dumplings:

Ingredients:

– 2 cups finely chopped spinach

– 1 cup diced mushrooms

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon sesame oil

– Dumpling wrappers

– Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

2. Add chopped spinach and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened and any excess moisture has evaporated, about 5-6 minutes.

3. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, then remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.

4. Place a spoonful of the filling onto each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and seal the dumplings.

5. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Shrimp and Chive Dumplings:

Ingredients:

– 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 1 cup chopped chives

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon sesame oil

– Dumpling wrappers

– Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

1. In a food processor, pulse shrimp until finely chopped but not paste-like.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, chives, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.

3. Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture onto each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and seal the dumplings.

4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.

5. Add water to the skillet, cover, and steam the dumplings for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until cooked through. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Sweet Potato and Black Bean Dumplings:

Ingredients:

– 1 cup mashed sweet potato

– 1/2 cup cooked black beans, drained and rinsed

– 2 green onions, finely chopped

– 1 teaspoon ground cumin

– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Dumpling wrappers

– Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potato, black beans, green onions, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

2. Place a spoonful of the sweet potato mixture onto each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and seal the dumplings.

3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.

Ingredients:

– 1 ripe banana, mashed

– 1/4 cup chocolate chips

– Dumpling wrappers
