  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In another mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until smooth and creamy.
  5. Alternate Adding Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
