1. Baked Spinach & Artichoke Dip

A creamy, cheesy dip is always a crowd-pleaser, and this baked spinach and artichoke dip is no exception. It’s warm, gooey, and loaded with flavor. Serve it with toasted bread, crackers, or crunchy vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 240 g sour cream
  • 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 400 g can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 100 g fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, and mozzarella.
  3. Stir in chopped artichokes, spinach, and garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  5. Serve warm with bread or crackers.

2. Honey Garlic Chicken Meatballs

These tender chicken meatballs are coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, making them an irresistible appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 450 g ground chicken
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
  2. In a bowl, mix chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape into small meatballs and place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15–20 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a pan and add soy sauce, honey, and a bit of water. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Toss the meatballs in the glaze, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve.

3. Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Glaze

For a fresh and elegant appetizer, these Caprese skewers are perfect. They require minimal effort and pack a burst of flavor in every bite.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 200 g mini mozzarella balls
  • 50 g fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions:

  1. Thread cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves onto skewers.
  2. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve immediately or chill until ready to enjoy.

4. Crispy Parmesan Zucchini Fries

For a healthier alternative to traditional fries, these crispy zucchini fries are baked to perfection with a crunchy Parmesan coating.

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium zucchinis, cut into sticks
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. In a bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Dip each zucchini stick into the beaten eggs, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

5. Shrimp Cocktail with Spicy Dipping Sauce

A classic shrimp cocktail is always a hit, especially when paired with a zesty homemade sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 450 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 litre water
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 120 g ketchup
  • 2 tbsp horseradish
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp hot sauce

Instructions:

  1. Bring water, lemon slices, and salt to a boil. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, until pink and opaque.
  2. Drain and transfer shrimp to an ice bath to cool.
  3. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
  4. Serve shrimp chilled with the dipping sauce.
