Craving the fiery kick of Chicken Licken’s legendary hot wings but can’t make it to the restaurant? Fear not, because with this simple and delicious recipe, you can recreate those mouthwatering hot wings in the comfort of your own kitchen. Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and impress your friends with your homemade version of Chicken Licken’s hot wings.

Ingredients:

  • 900 grams chicken wings, split at the joint and tips removed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Hot Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your fryer or a large pot filled with vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. Dredge the chicken wings in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure to coat them evenly. Shake off any excess flour.
  4. Carefully place the coated chicken wings into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the fryer. Fry in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking.
  5. Fry the chicken wings for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  6. While the chicken wings are frying, prepare the hot sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, butter, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Heat over medium heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is heated through. Stir well to combine.
  7. Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
  8. Serve the hot wings immediately, garnished with celery sticks and your choice of dipping sauce (such as ranch or blue cheese dressing).
  9. Enjoy the irresistible flavor and heat of your homemade Chicken Licken’s hot wings with friends and family!

With this easy-to-follow recipe, you can satisfy your cravings for Chicken Licken’s hot wings anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re hosting a game day party or simply treating yourself to a delicious snack, these homemade hot wings are sure to be a hit. So fire up the fryer, get ready to dip, and prepare to taste the spicy perfection of Chicken Licken’s hot wings in your own home.
