Quiche, with its buttery crust and creamy filling, is a timeless dish that satisfies both breakfast and brunch cravings. If you’re a bacon enthusiast, then this mouthwatering bacon quiche recipe is a must-try. Packed with smoky bacon, rich cheese, and a perfectly seasoned custard, this quiche is sure to tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to create a heavenly bacon quiche that will impress your family and friends.

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter, diced
  • 3-4 tablespoons ice water

For the filling:

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crust:
In a food processor, combine the flour and salt. Add the cold diced butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Roll out the Crust:
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough into a circle, slightly larger than your quiche pan. Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to the greased quiche pan and press it gently into the bottom and sides. Trim any excess dough hanging over the edges.
  4. Prepare the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and garlic powder until well combined. Stir in the crumbled bacon, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions.
  5. Pour the Filling:
Pour the bacon and cheese mixture into the prepared crust. Gently shake the quiche pan to distribute the filling evenly.
  6. Bake the Quiche:
Place the quiche pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown. The center should be slightly jiggly but not liquid.
  7. Cool, Slice, and Serve:
Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Use a sharp knife to slice it into wedges or squares. Serve warm or at room temperature and savor the irresistible combination of smoky bacon, creamy cheese, and delicate custard.

Indulge in the delectable flavors of a homemade bacon quiche that will surely satisfy your cravings. With its buttery crust, savory bacon, and creamy filling, this dish is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a light dinner. So, gather your ingredients, follow the steps, and treat yourself to a heavenly bacon quiche that will impress your loved ones and leave them wanting more.
