This December, Jameson Irish Whiskey is turning up the festive flavour in Joburg and Durban with the Jameson Festive Market — a celebration where good taste, good music and good company all meet in one spirited space. Set to Spread The Cheers across both cities, the market blends gourmet experiences with immersive brand moments. Expect artisan merch, personalisation booths, dynamic activations and, of course, a generous pour of tastings and live entertainment.
Johannesburg gets the first sip on Saturday, 6 December, when Melrose Arch hosts the lighting of the iconic Jameson Festive Tree between 6pm and 7pm. Durban’s own dazzling moment follows on Wednesday, 10 December, at Palm Boulevard in Umhlanga Ridge — a perfect backdrop for summer evenings and smooth whiskey notes.
At the heart of the Jameson Festive Market lies a celebration of craftsmanship. Think beautifully composed cocktails and curated daily tasting sessions featuring Jameson Original, Jameson Triple Triple, and Jameson Select Reserve. Dedicated tasting hubs will offer multi-sensory experiences, interactive games, themed quizzes, and live mixologist showdowns inspired by flavours from around the world.
Food lovers can indulge at the Global Cheers Stand, where chefs plate up Jameson-infused dishes inspired by South Africa, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Ireland, and the USA. From smoky reductions to whiskey-kissed marinades, each dish promises a fusion of global flavours elevated by Jameson’s signature smoothness.
The festive soundtrack brings its own magic, with Joburg welcoming Skinny & Kay Gig on 7 December, Kutlwano on 13 December, Homie Lover Friends on 20 December and DJ Buhle on 27 December. Durban will host Angel on 13 December and DJ Monde on 20 December, keeping spirits bright throughout the season.
Beyond the food and drinks, visitors can explore Jameson’s Clothing, Lifestyle and Streetwear zones — ideal for picking up keepsakes, stylish souvenirs or festive-season gifts.

The Jameson Festive Market runs from 6 to 27 December at The Piazza, Melrose Arch in Johannesburg, and from 10 to 24 December at Palm Boulevard, Umhlanga Ridge in Durban.
