This guide provides recipes for each type of roast to help you prepare memorable meals for any occasion.

Classic Herb-Crusted Beef Roast

A beef roast with a flavorful herb crust is perfect for Sunday dinners or special celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5kg beef rib roast
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C.
  2. Rub the beef with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place on a roasting rack in a pan. Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce oven to 180°C and cook for 1–1.5 hours, depending on desired doneness.
  4. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.

  • 1 whole chicken (about 1.8kg)
