The KitKat team at Nestlé East and Southern Africa Region (ESAR) has given South Africans a fresh take on “breaks” with the launch of its indulgent new KitKat Slabs range, available in three exciting flavours: Hazelnut, Double Chocolate, and Salted Caramel.
The flavours were unveiled at an exclusive media launch held at Ground the Venue in Muldersdrift, where guests experienced a multi-sensory journey through curated flavour stations and immersive installations. The event brought together some of Mzansi’s most celebrated content creators, who were among the first to savour the new creations.
According to the South African Confectionery Market, chocolate remains a national favourite, with more than 52% of adults having consumed chocolate in the past month. Chocolate also accounts for more than half of the country’s total confectionery market, and consumption continues to grow steadily. With per capita consumption climbing, South Africa now stands among the continent’s leading chocolate markets.

The new KitKat Slabs range reflects this trend, offering consumers a more expressive and premium chocolate experience.

Unlike traditional slabs, the KitKat Slabs range combines the brand’s iconic crispy wafer with creamy fillings and striking marbled chocolate designs.
